Available to download from the Microsoft website, the software is designed to work with Exchange Server 2007, System Center Operations Manager 2007, Version 2 of System Center Data Protection Manager and other platforms.

PowerShell has also been built into the next version of Windows Server, codenamed Longhorn. It will also work with Windows Server 2003. Microsoft said it will release Beta 3 of Longhorn in the first half of 2007.

The firm has also announced the first public beta of Forefront Client Security, the security solution for enterprises.
