CA puts Clarity on Linux platform

Antony Savvas

Computer Associates has released a version of its Clarity IT governance software for the open-source Red Hat Linux operating system.

Clarity is one of CA's business service optimisation applications, which are designed to give companies a real-time view of their organisation's IT infrastructure investments.

Clarity on Red Hat Enterprise Linux is available immediately.

The move by CA represents the latest support for open-source solutions by the company.

CA's Ingres database is also open source and the company recently made a number of its business applications patents available for free use among the open-source community.
