Dell and Oracle have partnered to sell Dell servers preinstalled with Oracle's database software, to increase sales to small-business customers.

Dell chief executive officer Michael Dell and Oracle CEO Larry Ellison have a conference call planned for Tuesday afternoon to discuss the expanded partnership between their companies. Spokesmen for Dell and Oracle declined to comment in advance of that announcement.

Prices for the server-and-software bundle will start at $4,108. As part of the deal, Dell will have a nine-month exclusive licence for bundling Oracle's database with servers in North America and Europe.
