IT workers at Fujitsu Services called off a two-day strike scheduled for Monday and Tuesday this week ahead of fresh negotiations with the company.
Hundred of members of the Amicus trade union at the former ICL site in West Gorton, Manchester, staged a 24-hour strike and a half-day stoppage last month in a dispute over trade union rights and pay.
"The aim has always been to secure a sensible negotiated settlement," said a union official.
A Fujitsu spokesman said, "We are pleased the action has been called off and hope the talks will make progress."
Fujitsu denied union claims the company had been slow to negotiate.
