About the Computer Weekly Social Media Awards 2011
Computer Weekly's search for the best use of social media in IT is back for its fourth year, brought to you in association with IBM, and the 2011 competition promises to be bigger and better than ever.
Social media is an increasingly important tool for communication, collaboration and sharing experiences among the UK IT community, so we’ve expanded our successful blog awards into the Social Media Awards.
So to kick off the Awards we're asking IT professionals to submit their nominations (below) to us. Those that are nominated will be listed on this site, and from all the nominations received we will draw up a shortlist for each category which will then be put back to the public vote.
The Awards will reward the best and most innovative uses of social media in UK IT at an awards ceremony on 30 November at the Delfina club in London.
Nominations do not need to originate in the UK, but they must contain some coverage of the UK IT industry.
- Self-nominations are permitted, but the winners will be decided by a public vote.
