Lifeboat system team takes the laurels at the BCS awards

The Grosvenor House Hotel on London's Park Lane hosted the BCS' biggest-ever annual awards ceremony last Thursday, and Active Web Solutions stole the show with three awards for its work with the Royal National Lifeboat Institution to develop a satellite-based safety system to raise an alert when a vessel is in trouble. Courier company eCourier also featured prominently, winning two awards, including the BCS Business Achievement Flagship Award, sponsored by Computer Weekly.
