A new BCS book, Professional Issues in IT, takes IT specialists beyond their technical role to give a broad understanding of the context in which they operate.
It is an introduction to social, legal, financial, organisational and ethical issues; the role of professional codes of conduct and ethics, and their practical application; and key legislation in areas including liability for defective software, computer misuse and intellectual property rights - all from the perspective of IT professionals, not lawyers.
Professional Issues in IT costs 20, or 15 for BCS members.
