ID suite focuses on integration

Enterprise management software provider BMC Software has introduced an identity management suite to facilitate on-demand computing.

The software enables the allocation and management of identities and access rights for both internal and external users.

It can associate different types of users such as employees, partners, suppliers and customers, to processes, systems and business services.

BMC said it fits into the company's business service management model for on-demand computing, where software is treated as a service.

Somesh Singh, vice-president and general manager of the identity management business unit at BMC, said, "Linking people, processes and systems that support operations while adapting to how business is conducted truly enables business service management."

BMC also plans to offer integrated product suites to tackle regulatory compliance, identity federation and rapid implementation, and to support connectivity with applications  developed in-house and by third-parties.
