Norwegian software maker Opera has released the beta version of
Opera Mobile for smartphones running Windows Mobile.
The Opera Mobile
10 beta release comes two weeks after the latest version of the
Opera mobile web browser was made available
for Nokia and other
Symbian/S60 smartphones.
The Opera release comes ahead of the release of Windows Mobile 7
from Microsoft, which still holds an 8% share of the mobile web
browser market, according to
US reports.
The Opera Mobile 10 beta for Windows Mobile looks and feels
similar to the Opera 10 desktop browser and
Opera Mini 5
beta.
The browser also has all the features available for Nokia and
other Symbian/S60 phones, including speed dialling, tabbed
browsing, a password manager and server-side compressor, Opera
Turbo.
