With nine major sites throughout Cornwall, Devon and Somerset as well as eight smaller offices, Connexions Cornwall and Devon Ltd employs around 450 people, giving 13-19 year olds information, advice, guidance and practical help in preparing for adult and working life.

The firm’s 11 person strong IT team is capable of managing and supporting its own IT infrastructure but needs to work in partnership with a reliable network provider in order to maintain operations. Employees in all offices need to be able to access the client databases, the intranet, websites and emails and share data (under strict protocols) together in order to offer a reliable and efficient service to young people and adults in the area.

For three years, Connexions Cornwall and Devon had a contract for a Multi-Protocol-Label-Switching (MPLS) network but as the contract came to an end, there was a need to get more performance but with the same investment level.

Read this white paper to see Connexions applied best value principles in its procurement process yet obtaining more services for the same amount of money as it had previously been paying.
