It is well known that if we multiply 142,857 - a number which describes one-seventh when preceded by a decimal point - by 5, then the digit 7 jumps over to the left to produce 714,285. There is also 102,564 x 4 = 410,256.

Further research has produced this week's problem (below): this time the multiplier (4) does not occur in the mystery six-digit number (although the digit hidden by the letter B does recur).
