The organisers of this year's CMDB and CMS conference -
the BCS's Configuration Management Specialist Group and IT Service
Management Forum (itSMF) - are looking for presentations by experts
in this field as well as suppliers and practitioners. The
conference, entitled the Powerhouse of Service Management, is
jointly run by the BCS and the itSMF, and will be held 8 July and 9
July at Olympia in London.
The conference will examine how successful organisations are
implementing their configuration management databases and
configuration management systems (CMDB/CMS) and will cover the
benefits that can be achieved using these systems. The conference
will bring managers and practitioners working across the service
life-cycle together in an open forum.
The event aims to encourage the sharing and cross-fertilisation
of ideas between practitioners, suppliers and users of CMDB/CMS
systems and tools.
The conference programme will consist of plenary, parallel and
workshop sessions, interactive industry feedback sessions, panel
discussions, supplier displays, exhibits, demonstrations, and other
related gatherings. The conference schedule will provide time for
relaxed social and professional interaction.
Submissions should be relevant to the conference themes. The BCS
would particularly like to hear from potential speakers sharing
their own experiences.
