Single sign-on reduces security risk and boosts productivity

Welwyn Hatfield Council provides its users with more than 20 different IT systems, each of which had its own security access protocols. The complexity of access management and the frequent need to reset forgotten passwords were draining user satisfaction and increasing help-desk traffic.

To solve its problems, the council implemented a single initial log-in system to handle password management and security access for all of its systems.

Now, the software ‘learns’ new access protocols as new systems are installed; users now only have to remember one sign-on, reducing the need for password resets, increasing security and boosting productivity while reducing helpdesk traffic.
