A new datacentre has been built that offers acarbon-neutral environmental
footprint. Power for Centrinet’s new 30,000-square-foot Smartbunker
datacentre is provided by Ecotricity, an electricity supplier that
generates all its power from wind farms.
The Lincolnshire datacentre is also underground to reduce the
amount of cooling required. This also lowers the power consumption
of the air conditioning units. One of the first businesses to use
the hosted service is property firm
