The Computer Weekly 500 Club continues its programme of
talks by top IT leaders this summer, with presentations by Paul
Stevens, vice-president, UK pharmaceuticals IT at GlaxoSmithKline,
and Rolls-Royce CIO Jonathan Mitchell.
On 20 June, Stevens will be discussing innovative approaches to
gaining business value from IT. And on 18 July Mitchell will be
examining the changing role of the CIO.
Founded in 1993, the Computer Weekly 500 Club is an
invitation-only forum for senior IT directors in the country's
leading organisations. It was set up to provide business
inspiration and networking opportunities.
At its regular meetings, CIO-level speakers lead extended
discussions on topics of relevance to senior IT management in a
confidential and friendly environment. The events are free of
charge, strictly off-the-record and free from supplier
pressure.
The core activity of the 500 Club, which is supported by
Erudine, CAI Europe and BT Global Services, is a series of at least
10 meetings a year. Speakers present briefly and without visual
aids. About 40 minutes is reserved for formal discussion, with at
least another two hours available for informal discussion over
drinks.
Computer Weekly facilitates introductions between members at the
meetings to maximise networking opportunities.
Membership of the Computer Weekly 500 Club for IT directors is
strictly by invitation only. If you would like to be considered, or
would like more information, please e-mail Beverley de Valmency at
Computer Weekly.
