The cargo operation of Continental Airlines is upgrading to the latest version of a performance management system from JDA after a trial demonstrated that it could boost efficiency and revenues.

Following the airline's testing of version 7.2 of JDA's Cargo Revenue Optimizer system towards the end of last year, it has completed the first phase of the roll-out, with phases two and three due for completion before the end of 2007.

The software is being customised to let Continental evaluate demand for routes based on volume and weight and to offer flexible tariffs and entry options to potential customers.
