Autonomy Corporation has unveiled its Meaning Analytics
Warehouse, a new module for its Idol data intelligence platform
that can perform bulk data analysis and mining by understanding the
concepts, context and patterns contained in the
information.
The data that can be handled with the module includes video,
voice, e-mail, applications, databases and hundreds of other file
types, said the firm.
Mike Lynch,
Autonomy CEO, said, “Our philosophy is
focused on deriving meaning from the vast amounts of data that
resides in organisations and then presenting that data to
business intelligence and other key applications to deliver
business insight.”
The Meaning Analytics Warehouse module provides insight into
information stored in silos across an enterprise by indexing,
transforming and analysing this information based on its meaning
and relationships.
Autonomy said the module builds on and complements its
established Idol platform, which allows enterprises to search and
process relevant data in real-time across all data types.
Pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline recently signed a deal to
standardise on Autonomy’s Idol platform globally for its
information processing.
