Teleperformance opens second Irish contact centre

A new 450-seat contact centre to which companies can outsource their customer service is opening in Northern Ireland.

The centre, in Newry, is being opened by Teleperformance, which provides outsourced customer relationsip management and contact services.

Invest Northern Ireland has put in £2.25m to help open the £6.5m centre, which is expected to employ 450 by 2010.

Teleperformance said the new site would deal with a number of undisclosed contract wins.

The company already has a 700-seat contact centre in Bangor, Co Down, as well as centres in Bristol, Ashby De La Zouch and Birmingham.
