Sybase has completed the acquisition of Mobile 365 for
$417m (£225m) to extend its corporate mobile services.
Sybase chief executive officer John Chen said, “Our acquisition
of Mobile 365 is strategic, visionary and progressive in scope. We
will expand our Unwired Enterprise offerings and our ability to
deliver information any time, anywhere and to any type of
device.”
Mobile 365 will now operate as Sybase 365. Marty Beard, Sybase
senior vice-president of corporate development and marketing, will
be the new subsidiary's president.
Also, the Sybase mFolio business will be immediately integrated
into Sybase 365, and some of Sybase AvantGo assets will be
integrated into Sybase 365 in the early part of 2007.
