Hyperion has announced enhancements in its forthcoming System 9 Release 9.3, aimed at helping businesses better align their processes with their objectives.

Hyperion System 9, launched a year ago, was designed to integrate financial management applications and a business intelligence platform into a single system built on a common set of foundation services.

The upgrade includes new capabilities in the software’s financial management, data management and business intelligence modules. It also offers a wider range of options for integrating diverse enterprise systems.

Release 9.3 includes BPM Architect, a visual business process modeling environment aimed at helping companies align their planning scenarios, financial and operational plans, and financial consolidation processes.

A new Capital Expense Planning module is designed to help users plan the acquisition, lifecycle management and retirement of capital assets. It allows financial and operational managers to integrate capital improvements into their rolling forecasts and annual plans.

Hyperion has also boosted System 9’s data management services with a new module for data integration. This allows users to integrate Hyperion applications with enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management and other transactional systems.

Release 9.3 offers enhanced integration with Microsoft Office and SQL Server 2005, and also integrates with IBM’s Websphere portal and SAP’s Netweaver. It is set to be released before the end of January 2007.
