Police reveal IT strategy

The new national police IT strategy published last month set out how IT will be developed to support standardised processes for collecting and managing intelligence across police forces in England and Wales.

For the first time, responsibility for IT and business process change is in the hands of a single organisation, the National Police Improvement Agency, which from next April will have mandatory powers over police forces.
