Enterprise management software provider INSYSTEK has placed
virtualisation right at the centre of its strategy for managing
complex virtual environments.
According
to a statement by INSYSTEK chief technology officer, Richard
Carlsen, virtualisation management will be an enabled technology to
all INSYSTEK solutions with initial support for VMware’s
VirtualCenter expected to be in beta with in the next couple of
months.
INSYSTEK says that its Virtualize technology provides the ability
to manage complex virtual infrastructures from the same console
used to manage the physical one. It can be used to automatically
discover virtual assets and determine resource usage and
performance.
In the next 12 months Virtual IT solutions will be enabled with
features such as enterprise management support for thousands of
physical and virtual machines; virtual infrastructure systems and
resources discovery; virtual servers and desktop creation;
automatically tracking and managing of physical and virtual
relationships.
The company says it will also deploy software applications to a
virtual environment and run reports for virtual resource
configurations and usage. The solutions will audit virtual machines
for resource configurations and guests for operating system and
software configurations.
“Virtualisation Management is going into the 5.0 release of all our
solutions,” adds Carlsen. “Customers will be able to discover and
map virtual environments, create virtual machines, track and manage
physical and virtual relationships and automate the lifecycle of a
large number of virtual servers and desktops."
