BEA Systems is developing a lightweight platform called
the BEA microService Architecture (mSA) for building applications
based on native service-oriented architecture (SOA)
standards
Rob Levy, chief technology officer and executive vice president,
BEA Systems, said, “BEA's mSA would enable users of BEA middleware
to create and dynamically deploy software.
“The BEA mSA is intended to enable us to be more agile, allowing
us to deliver new products that target specific customer needs
while addressing the environment-specific aspects that our
customers are now demanding,” he said.
The BEA mSA uses the concept of a service network which is
designed to support modularity and lightweight application
development. It offers an event-driven architecture, using
notification services to publish and discover appropriate modular
components or microServices.
