Oracle has announced the launch of PeopleSoft Enterprise
Customer Relationship Management 9.
The launch of PeopleSoft Enterprise 9 modules was trailed by the
company in June, in a bid to reassure PeopleSoft users of Oracle’s
commitment to support the products after its acquisition of
PeopleSoft in January last year.
PeopleSoft Enterprise CRM 9 includes features aimed at the
financial services and communications industries, along with
enhancements designed to increase productivity and boost the use of
Oracle Fusion Middleware.
Features aimed at communications firms include customer care and
ordering capabilities tailored to next generation IP and 3G
services, with support for the wireless market and business process
management for mobile number portability, lost or stolen wireless
handsets and prepaid account setup.
Enhancements pitched at users in the financial services industry
include sample processes for financial account creation, lead and
referral management, and web services for remote portlets.
The software has also been streamlined to reduce the need for
clicking from page to page and offers 19 new web service-enabled
transactions. It has been integrated with Oracle’s XML Publisher to
provide correspondence management capabilities.
