Google is allowing mobile users to easily view their
personal Google home pages on their mobile devices.
The idea is to give users the same information they view on
their PC, such as previously selected news feeds and financial
information, as well as Google web e-mail.
The content available has been optimised by Google to take
account of smaller mobile device screens, and the slower bandwidth
connections available on mobile networks.
Users with existing Google personalised homepages on their PCs
can visit the Google site through the web browser on their mobile
phone, select the “personalised home” link, and then sign in with
their Google username and password.
Users without a Google homepage will need to set one up through
their PC.
The service works with any phone that contains an XHTML-based
web browser.
A similar product is being developed by Google rival Yahoo.
