Amey prioritises in a year of growth

Tuesday 13 December 2005 01:34

It has been a good year for IT at Amey, as we continue investment in our core systems and infrastructure, writes Peter Garratt, IT director at the support services firm.

Examples include migrating all of our users to Active Directory and Exchange 2003, rolling out remote access systems, beginning the move to a converged IP wide area network and extending the use of IP telephony. We have also extended our SAP platform to replace several legacy systems.

The main issue for us has been delivering these changes while managing the impact of business growth through a number of major contract wins. So prioritisation of our resources has been essential.
