Help the Aged uses satellite tracking

Tuesday 01 November 2005 01:01

Internet-based satellite tracking is allowing Help the Aged to improve the efficiency of its van fleet, which collects donated clothes and delivers them to its shops.

Masternaut Vehicle Data Terminal is a dashboard-mounted device that records fleet activity and routing. It provides live two-way communication and will be used for route and schedule planning, assistance requests and recording of operational information.

"We can make a big improvement in the way we use the fleet," said Jon Evans, retail administration manager at Help the Aged.
