NetSuite, a provider of hosted enterprise software, is
offering users of the Salesforce.com enterprise software an
alternative which it claims is 50% cheaper.
The offer covers on-demand sales, customer relationship
management and enterprise resource planning systems.
NetSuite said companies considering or using Salesforce.com's
standalone sales force automation (SFA) applications, or those
companies considering Salesforce.com professional and enterprise
editions for the first time, would be offered an alternative that
would "beat any subscription estimate provided by Salesforce.com by
half".
For customers renewing their Salesforce.com professional and
enterprise edition subscriptions, NetSuite said it "will cut the
renewal price in half and provide a bevy of free data migration
services".
The offer covers NetSuite's NetCRM offering, as well as the
company's complete ERP/CRM/eCommerce NetSuite solution. The offer
is open until the end of March.
Salesforce.com is one of the most established web on-demand
business processing software companies, and NetSuite is starting
some way back when it comes to market share.
