Two companies calling themselves "service-oriented"
systems management providers have released new or updated
products.
Panacya issued version 2.4 of its Panacya Service Center, at the
BEA eWorld conference in San Francisco.
Company officials described the release as systems management
software powered by analytics. New to Service Center 2.4 is a more
solution-oriented approach to monitoring, according to Lou Nardo,
director of product development at Panacya.
Panacya also improved the analytics by arming the software to
share data between analytics modules, and simplified
customisation.
As part of its solution-oriented approach, Panacya offered a
packaged solution for BEA products, as well as a package for
monitoring e-mail.
Indicative Software, meanwhile, has licensed software from
Agilent Technologies, for auto-discovery, service modelling,
security, real-time change and updates, SLA management and a
library containing hundreds of tests and measurements.
