Microsoft updates Outlook to Notes connector

Wednesday 14 April 2004 12:01

Microsoft has released an updated version of an add-on for Outlook that lets users of the Microsoft e-mail client connect to IBM Lotus Domino servers.

Version 2 of the Microsoft Office Outlook Connector for IBM Lotus Domino is an update from version 1, which was released last year.

The latest version adds support for Outlook 2003 and Release 6.x of Domino.

The Outlook connector allows Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2002 users to access e-mail, calendar, address book and task items on an IBM Lotus Domino Release 5.x or Release 6.x server.

Microsoft developed the Outlook connector so companies could give their employees the opportunity to use Outlook instead of the Lotus Notes client, either to enable support of Outlook with Domino or as part of a move to Microsoft's Exchange messaging platform.

The Outlook connector software is available for free download from Microsoft's website.
