PeopleSoft's EnterpriseOne software suite will run on
Linux starting in the second quarter.
The company acquired the applications last August when it bought
software company JD Edwards.
It rebranded the apps EnterpriseOne and launched them with a
PeopleSoft look and feel in September.
The apps are: human capital management, supply chain management,
supplier relationship management, financial management, asset
lifecycle management and project management,
PeopleSoft EnterpriseOne 8.10 will run on Red Hat's distribution
of Linux.
EnterpriseOne applications will now fall into line with
PeopleSoft's existing Enterprise range. The company ported 170
applications to Red Hat Linux last year, after announcing the move
in May.
PeopleSoft supports its software on operating systems including
Hewlett-Packard's HP-UX and HP Tru64 Unix, IBM's AIX and z/OS,
Linux, Microsoft's Windows 2000 and Sun Microsystems' Solaris.
