Google web search feature and sponsored links will now
be available on Amazon.com's website.
The deal between the two companies will allow Amazon.com
customers to search the web using Google's technology without
having to leave the Amazon.com website.
Amazon.com customers can also access to Google's AdWords
technology, which allows advertisers to bid for placement on
sponsored listings that appear alongside search results.
For Google, the listing of sponsored links on Amazon.com will
give broader exposure to their more than 100,000 worldwide
advertisers, a Google spokesman said.
Amazon.com is the latest partner to include Google's web search
feature and sponsored links on its website. Other Google partners
include America Online, Ask Jeeves, Earthlink and Walt Disney.
Google's web search facilities will be implemented on Amazon.com
in a few months. The Google sponsored links are available on a few
Amazon.com pages.
Google has indexed just over three billion pages in its search
engine, and customers perform more than 200 million searches on
Google everyday.
