Business process management - its role in transformational outsourcing

Many professional service companies operating in the business process outsourcing market that have both a strong management consultancy and IT service capability are strategically focused on winning "transformational" outsourcing contracts.

The idea is that rather than agreeing to take on and manage existing processes "as is" from clients, they take over management of the process with an aim to transform it.

A new change management and system implementation technology known as business process management (BPM) is set to change the way companies approach outsourcing.
