Database software company Oracle has expanded the certification and
education program for its 9i database software package across the
EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region.
Oracle University, the education division of the California-based
company, has begun offering three levels of 9i certification:
Oracle Certified Associate, Oracle Certified Professional and the
newly-created advanced qualification, Oracle Certified
Master.
According to Oracle, certifications in the EMEA region have
increased by 21% compared to last year with 26,000 certification
exams administered in that time.
Earlier this month, Oracle announced the expansion of its Oracle 9i
certification program in Asia along with the extension of its
Oracle Technology Network (OTN) to China in the hope of tapping
into the large pool of software development skills there.
