The Office of Government Commerce's (OGC) Buying Solutions division has invited tenders for public sector mobile service deals worth £690m.

The OGC wants to set up a two-year framework deal for the public sector with the option of extending it to three or four years.

The procurement is broken into three lots, with the first covering mobile voice calls, voicemail, text messaging, mobile data, emergency services for protecting lone workers and vehicle tracking.

The second lot covers wide-area paging and messaging services to work through email, text messaging, pager devices and mobile or fixed line phones.

A third lot includes bespoke services based on the first two, along with integration, security and training services.
