BMC Software is to make further job cuts following its fourth quarter financial results.
The management and security software provider saw quarterly profits slump almost 60% to $15.5m (£8.3m) on slightly reduced sales of $395m for the three months ending March.
BMC said the performance fell short of its expectations and it would be making further job cuts to reduce costs over the next six months.
The company, which specialises in mainframe management, application and identity management software, axed 900 staff in April. The company currently employs around 6,900.
