The British Library has published an online edition of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's catalogue of works.
Consisting of digital versions of 30 pages from the priceless, original, hand-written music, the online edition allows users to browse Mozart’s music and listen to short introductions from 75 of the composer's works.
The original "Verzeichnüss aller meiner Werke" was given to the library in 1986, and contains details of 145 works written by Mozart from February 1784 until his death in December 1791.
The catalogue itself went on display at the library this week. Users wanting to view the online edition must first install Adobe’s Shockwave Player plug-in to their browser.
The British Library is also currently conducting a book digitisation project with Microsoft to allow the public greater access to its mammoth stocks.
