CMA calls for "at-risk" telco register
Glenn Powell, the new chief executive of the Communications Management Association (CMA), has called for an "at-risk register" to...
Powell said, "The register would be a good thing for CMA members trying to protect themselves from supplier failure. It would contain financial status and performance indicators - information currently only available from a variety of sources."
The initiative resulted from the second of the CMA's Sustaining Telecoms special interest group meetings.
At the meeting, more than 60 communications professionals responsible for global corporate networks discussed the problems of continuity of telecoms supply in the volatile environment following high-profile collapses such as WorldCom and KPNQwest.
