Tower Hamlets deploys CMS for access

John-Paul Kamath

London Borough of Tower Hamlets will make its website more accessible to users after installing content management software to ensure the content it publishes is compliant with different users.

The council's new intranet will be used by 6,000 workers and is needed to manage the large amounts of information on the network.

Providing up-to-the minute and easily accessible information on internal resources and services is fundamental to the success of any local authority intranet site.

"We needed to improve the content quality of our intranet and change the culture of authoring and publishing to develop a strong knowledge base for our staff. The Immediacy CMS system has helped provide the tools to enable these changes" said Claire Symonds, service head customer access, London Borough of Tower Hamlets.
