PatchLink unifies security with SecureWave acquisition

Antony Savvas

Security firm PatchLink is acquiring SecureWave in an attempt to strengthen its unified security offering.

The acquisition is on the heels of PatchLink’s February 2007 acquisition of Harris STAT.

“Through significant organic growth and strategic acquisitions, we believe PatchLink is now poised to capitalise on a significant market opportunity to become the de facto provider of policy-based enterprise security solutions,” said Pat Clawson, PatchLink CEO.

SecureWave Sanctuary provides unified policy enforcement for centrally managing and monitoring device and application use to protect against data leakage and malware threats.

These capabilities, combined with PatchLink’s vulnerability management solutions, provide organisations with enterprise-wide policy management to assess and prioritise vulnerabilities, proactively enforce their application and device security policies, and automatically patch and remediate vulnerabilities across their entire IT infrastructures, said PatchLink.
