An online learning programme aimed at equipping employees in large and medium-sized businesses with IT security skills has been launched by GTSLearning.

The Online Security Library offers a range of learning resources, from basic disciplines to material for security implementation professionals.

The programme gives access to 28 course modules, many of which lead to recognised IT security certifications, including the new certified ethical hacker (CEH) from the EC-Council, Comptia's security+ certification, certified information systems security professional and the security certified network professional.

The blended learning library allows training managers or students to choose the most appropriate content from the range of modules. This allows a tailor-made programme to be built, although more technical security courses assume a good knowledge of relevant software and hardware.

GTSLearning managing director Robin Adda said the programme was expected to appeal to medium to large companies.

There was already "strong demand" for the certified ethical hacker programme, Adda said.
