BCSWomen celebrates five years

Justin Richards

The BCSWomen group is celebrating its fifth anniversary this year.

Set up in 2001, the aim of BCSWomen is to encourage women and girls to consider a career in IT and to provide support for women working in the industry.

The group acts as a hub for female IT professionals from across the world, and its members come from a wide range of areas, including system deployment, network administration and project management.

The group lends itself to international networking, and more than 500 members use the BCSWomen chatrooms.
