Trend Micro sees SMB security surge

Anti-virus and content security provider Trend Micro has reported a surge in interest among small- to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) for its Worry Free Security Solutions.

One of the key indicators of the success of the programme has been an increase of almost 50% in number of trading resellers for the Worry Free suite.

Worry-Free solutions have been specifically designed to fit the requirements of the SMB, providing, says Trend, a security package that is easy to manage and maintain. Trend says that SMBs require solutions that protect against a multitude of threats, however, and owing to resource and monetary constraints they need this in an integrated package that enables one single installation with an easy-to-use interface and virtual support.

Trend’s client/server and messaging security products for SMBs include technology that protects PCs and Windows servers, and Microsoft Exchange servers against viruses and hackers in an all-in-one integrated defence.

Trend claims that its solutions simplify security management for businesses who demand a worry-free approach. The company also offers SMBs free technical support via either a business hours hotline or web portal, backed up by a network of Value Added Distributors in a number of countries.
