B&Q is hiring outsourcer Xansa to provide business-critical application development services. Xansa is guaranteeing the DIY retailer year-on-year savings through the deal.

Under the three-year contract, B&Q’s in-house systems will be complemented by Xansa's retail sector expertise.

Peter Federico, B&Q director of systems development and software support, said, "Effective business systems lie at the heart of B&Q’s drive for retail excellence.

"This new partnership with Xansa will help B&Q ensure that our critical systems are delivered effectively and efficiently, giving B&Q added flexibility in delivering value to our customers."
