XTech will use hosting facilities from Agiliti to enable deployment of online CRM services. The services will begin in December and will be based on WorldTrak's CRM system. WorldTrak formed Agiliti to enable the delivery of hosted e-CRM solutions.
By opting for a hosted offering, customers can avoid the high costs associated with maintaining CRM applications in-house, according to Agiliti and XTech.
"We are going to make this CRM package a hosted CRM package, and what that really means is people don't have to invest in the infrastructure of equipment and hardware and software," said Sandy Schuller, WorldTrak's director of marketing.
"All they [customers] have to do is give us a call. We turn on a switch [and customers get CRM functionality over the Internet]," Schuller said. The hosted offering will compete directly with the Salesforce.com hosted CRM platform, she added
WorldTrak's offering - expected to be renamed XTech CRM in its hosted incarnation - will provide a more fully featured CRM offering than Salesforce.com.
The product will feature capabilities for sales force automation, marketing campaigns, call centres and customer support, Schuller said, adding that Salesforce.com is limited to sales force automation.
XTech said the hosted service would be offered on a monthly per-user fee.
