In this 3x3 array, nine digits 1-9 have been positioned to form three, 3-digit numbers in arithmetical progression. Reading from top to bottom, we see that 654 is twice 327 and 981 is thrice 327. With 654 as the middle slice and the various digits being three units apart when scanned vertically, it is not particularly hard to discover this array.

However, this week's more difficult problem is to position the 8 in the central cell and then place the other eight digits in such a way that a similar arithmetical progression exists, showing twice the top number and then thrice, as before.
