Law firm in £10m Logica deal

Residential conveyancing firm Countrywide Property Lawyers (CPL) has signed a £10m, five-year IT outsourcing deal with IT services firm Logica for a customer-focused conveyancing system.
The system, which will be rolled out across five regional centres in Cardiff, Brentwood, Manchester, Northampton and Woking, will encompass customer relationship management and workflow elements to help CPL to speed up transactions and make better use of its internal resources.
Eight of the law firm's staff will transfer to Logica in the deal.
CPL aims to increase its share of the market from 1% to 10% over five years.
