Twitter and LinkedIn have announced a feature that will allow
users to share status updates between the two accounts.
Users who set their status on
LinkedIn will be able to link the update through to Twitter as
well. Tweeted messages can also be sent back to the LinkedIn site
from any Twitter service or tool.
Linkedin said on its company
blog, "LinkedIn has always been about helping you to build your
professional identity on the web. The many elements that make up
your online professional brand range from your LinkedIn profile to
the many professional conversations you are a part of."
The feature will roll out to every user over the next few days.
LinkedIn said status updates have proved useful for users. The
company added, "This is just the beginning - expect continued
enhancements and expansions of the LinkedIn mobile platform in
2010."
