Adobe will start producing regular bug fixes and patches for
Acrobat Reader to tie in with Microsoft's Patch Tuesday
updates.
In a blog posting yesterday Brad Arkin, Director of Product
Security and Privacy at Adobe, said: "Based on feedback from our
customers, who have processes and resources geared toward
Microsoft's 'Patch Tuesday' security updates, we will make Adobe's
quarterly patches available on the same days."
Adobe has been criticised in the past for its lack of
coordination in
releasing patches.
Brad Arkin said the company has been working since February to
improve software security. "Everything from our security team's
communications during an incident to our security update process to
the code itself has been carefully reviewed."
