Saas provider NetSuite has introduced a version of its OneWorld
software that lets users of SAP enterprise software integrate
reports from company divisions and business units using cloud
computing.
The company said
OneWorld for
SAP enables SAP users to manage multinational, multi-subsidiary
business operations in real-time through NetSuite. Data collected
via NetSuite can then be summarised and passed onto SAP, allowing
users to gain an enterprise-wide view of business operations.
NetSuite said a user could use the software to roll-up general
ledger, order and revenue information from NetSuite to SAP for
aggregating financial reporting.
"NetSuite OneWorld for SAP enables large companies to keep their
investment in legacy business applications, while deploying a
modern, web-based business application suite that reduces costs and
helps make their divisions more competitive and employees more
productive," said Zach Nelson, CEO of NetSuite.
OneWorld uses the company's
SuiteCloud
product to integrate with external enterprise resource planning
(ERP) systems. This enables NetSuite to share ERP data such as
invoices, purchase orders, item fulfillments, journal entries,
inventory adjustments and time entries, and expense reports with
SAP.
